What is the present? What is Now?

What is the Present Moment?… . Or said in a different way what is Now.?

It is quite simple but our minds have complicated it.

Why have our minds complicate it? well because that is what our minds do..they complicate the simple; so as to hide it from us.

Because when we chase for answers we are in our egos and our minds and not in the present.

Our egos do not want us in the present. For when we are in the present moment we are not in our egos. Our egos want all the attention. They thrive and only survive on attention.

Leave them alone and they go away.

Leave them alone enough and they die. And when they die we become enlightened.

But back to the present moment.

The present moment or the now is the past, present and future. It is earth, heaven, hell and the Universe, It is God, you and I and, and all mystics.

You say that is absurd, nonsense or insanity.

I say to take the simple and to complicate it is insanity.

Tomatoes, tomatoes or potatoes, potatoes. It’s all the same no matter how you say it.

Let me us a simple analogy.

Purchase a whole loaf of bread from Kroger…or better yet a natural local holistic food store :) .

Slice it into many pieces.

On each piece put different spreads, of different colors and textures.

Bake some and keep some as they are.

Look at each piece and compare it to the next.

analyze and compare as the mind does.

Judge some pieces good and some bad as the mind does.

In the end however no matter how you dice it and splice it… you still have a single loaf of bread.

So, no matter how we dice and splice it into pieces…. the present is all there is.

We can only BE in the present.

And we can only DO in the present.

To believe otherwise is insanity…or said another way…human nature.
